Gah! What did I come over here for?  There was something I was supposed to do, something I wanted to tell you...damnit.  Was it a giveaway?  No, not a giveaway.  What's to give except of myself? Meh.

I recently posted on Knopf's Borzoi Reader and, of course, I found myself in an altercation shortly thereafter.  What's the matter with me?  I don't think sarcasm translates well in text.  Anyway, I've just been absolved:

Hallelujah! The person's got a point, too. Maybe. Onwards. The American Academy of Arts and Letters released on Friday the names of 17 award winners in Literature.  HC's own Uzodinma Iweala took home $5,000 for the Sue Kaufman Prize for First Fiction. Congratulations, young man.
