The San Francisco Chronicle ran a very nice feature on Robert Hass today: "Poet Robert Hass goes back in time with new work."

C.W. Nevius shook the city with his report on hundreds of homeless in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. It resulted in an angry Mayor Newsom and police sweeps that showed his reports were on target. Full campsites, with normal human "discharges", used hypodermic needles
