The Olivereader posted Kafka's weblog not so long ago. A blog entry appears on every date he wrote a journal entry. Here's another weblog just like it for Henry David Thoreau. In case you are unsure whether or not today's weather is agreeable, Thoreau will straighten you out.
"To make a perfect winter day like this, you must have a clear, sparkling air, with a sheen from the snow, sufficient cold, little or no wind; and the warmth must come directly from the sun. It must not be a thawing warmth."
Got that. No thawing.
On a more reverential note, today marks the 100th anniversary of the death of Paul Laurence Dunbar--the first African-American to make a living writing poetry.
Lastly,--for now--an offering from A.E. Housman.
