This coming Wednesday, March 7th, William T. Vollmann will speak at the New York Public Library as part of The Richard B. Salomon Distinguished Lectures and Live from the NYPL, an ongoing series of "conversations, debates, & performances." I'm eager for this and will be there. Vollmann together with Karl Taro Greenfeld will discuss "the travels Vollmann took with curiousity and compassion, through six continents, always posing the seemingly simple question, 'Why are you poor?'" The event starts at 7pm in the South Court Auditorium.
